    How to connect NeuroSky Mindwave with Python/Matlab/C++ for various brain computer interface applications

    If you are searching for stuffs related to NeuroSky Mindwave Headset & the issues like interfacing, source codes & applications then this post will give you a brief idea.

    This is a cheap device to start Brain-Computer Interface & build cool applications. It gives Attention, Meditation, Eye Blink values from 0 to 100 range based on NeuroSky patent eSense algorithms.

    Please note NeuroSky Mindwave comes with various models supporting Bluetooth, RF-Dongle & WiFi. This model is RF USB Dongle based which receives data from headset & via USB data can be accessed from Laptop/PC/Android.

    import mindwave
    headset = mindwave.Headset('COM13', 'CC0E')
    COM13 is COM PORT number that you can find from Windows Device Manager.
    CC0E is NeuroSky Mindwave model number which you can find in manual.

    For Linux/Raspberry Pi, open terminal find USB devices attached:
    ls usb
    dmesg | grep tty
    headset = mindwave.Headset('/dev/ttyUSB0', 'CC0E')
